Georgia Trip

The girls and I flew to Atlanta to see Grandma and Papa recently. When we got to the airport they thought we were going to pick them up like usual, but when I told them that we were going on the airplane this time they were SO excited. It was a whole lot of work for Mommy though, but they're getting better and better at travelling. Especially Danielle, she's just getting so big. Here are some pictures of them on the flight:

When we first got there, sooo happy :-)

During... we had our ups and downs. It's not easy keeping two toddlers quiet, AND still, AND entertained for four and a half hours.

When we landed, soooo happy again

Here they are, riding on the train to get to baggage claim. Sophie was a little perturbed.

One night, the girls went to their first Hibachi Grill. They loved the Koi pond in the front:

The girls both tried their hardest at using the chopsticks :-P

On our way to the Children's Museum, Mom took us on a huge ferris wheel in the city, despite her slight discomfort with heights... and enclosed spaces... and Georgia heat.

I think Danny was a little hesitant as well, at first

Maybe Sophie too...

Oh well, I liked it! haha Now here we are at the Children's Museum. Mom buddied with Danny, and I with Sophie so that's why the majority of the pictures are with her:

I almost got us kicked out of that place. Over shoes, if you can believe it.

Mom made these cupcakes. Don't they look delicious??

Sophie loved their slides. All of them.

Another day, we visited Stone Mountain. It was so humid, and super foggy so we couldn't see much but the girls and I have never been on top of a mountain before so it was a really cool experience! Here we are on our way up:

Pictures at the top:

Sophie didn't like it after awhile. I tried to loosen her up and take a silly picture but that didn't work:

And when Mom wanted to get a picture of all three of us both of them were finished with the mountain... and well, the humidity. They were kind of miserable!

At the bottom of Stone M they had a park with all kinds of activities:

Here we are in front of it:

My parents have a condo with a beautiful view. It scared me to have the girls so close to the rail but I had to snap a quick picture:

Here's one of all three of us:

I wish I was able to take a picture of every moment, but I'm pretty bad at remembering my camera all the time. I'll get better at it! Thanks Mom and Dad! Can't wait to visit there again!

Seaside

What a fun weekend at the beach! I regret one thing though; not taking enough pictures. I would either completely forget or I didn't grab the camera fast enough. But I got a few good ones in there.

After getting settled in our hotel room, we headed out to the ocean. The sun was just starting to set and it was beautiful.

A couple of those are very frame-worthy, I think.

Swings...

Sophie would have been perfectly happy if we just stayed on the swings all weekend.

Danny has a new best friend, "Wacey" (Lacey, Tim's amazing girlfriend)

That night the cousins got to jump on their beds (the best part about staying in a hotel room, I think we could all agree)

I asked them to stop moving so I could get a picture, otherwise it looked like this:

The next day, we visited the aquarium, went on Bumper Cars and the Tilt-A-Whirl, went on paddle boats, played at the beach some more, cooked up s'mores in the evening, all of which I did not take pictures of, sadly, but I managed to snap a few at the arcade:

And a couple at the merry-go-round:

Danielle had this look on her face like she really believed that she was riding that horse just like her Princesses. :P And this one of Sophie was cute, she was being shy:

She's been doing that a lot lately! When too much attention is on her she'll cover her eyes. :)

This was the morning that we left. I told Sophie we had to say goodbye to the beach, so she sat out on the porch one last time:

This one's my favorite <3

The girls and I were sad when we drove away, but I told them we would most certainly be back. ;)
